Dear Dr. Rose,

I regret that no travel funds have been allocated for my trip to the
Systems and Cybernetics Congress. 
I applied to the National Science Foundation, National Research Council,
Stanford Artificial Intelligence Lab, and Stanford Computer Science Dept.,
as well as to you (and the S&C Congress) personally.
Since I am
still a graduate student, my finances are not sufficient to permit me to
pay my own way to Roumania.

Although I will not be able to attend, I wish
you luck on what I am sure will be a most productive meeting. If there
are %3Proceedings%* published, please send me a copy (or information about
obtaining a copy). I would also be interested in a collection of the
papers' abstracts, if   that is available.

My schedule is free in August, so if any funds come through at the last minute,
I will be able to attend. Please bear this in mind, in case %2you%* discover
some available travel money.  Thank you again for accepting my paper,
and for the prompt consideration you have given to each of my communications.
